George Varughese, general manager of JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, and the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation team participated in the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command’s sea turtle release ceremony at the headquarters in Cape Panwa, in honour of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana’s birthday anniversary
Phuket governor Phakaphong Tavipatana, civil servants and well-wishers gathered at the coastline in front of the Third Area Command headquarters and released 43 green turtles. The sea turtles, which are seen as a symbol of long life, began their new life in the ocean.
