Greet the Year of the Ox with an auspicious meal at Summer Palace

Summer Palace at InterContinental Bangkok is presenting a special auspicious à la carte and three set menus for lunch and dinner during the Chinese New Year period, 12-14 February 2021, to celebrate the Year of the Ox.

The traditional New Year Yee Sang is served for a ceremonial toss with chopsticks, and is available as salmon, abalone, or Boston lobster options. On the à la carte are auspicious dishes such as Wish For Money To Grow (braised bird’s nest with crab meat and crab roe), Wish You Wealth and Prosperity (braised abalone with goose’s web and sea moss), Wishing No Hardships Forever (steamed snow fish Chao Zhou style), Longevity (stir-fried longevity noodle), and Good wishes for the New Year (deep-fried soft shell crab with lemongrass sour cream sauce).

The three set menus are for a table of 10 persons. The Emperor menu is priced at Baht 13,989++ and starts with salmon Yee Sang, the Fortune menu is 16,989++ and starts with abalone Yee Sang, and the Wealthy menu is Baht 18,989++ and starts with Boston lobster Yee Sang. All three set menus offer the alternative of the Chinese New Year Happiness hot and cold combination platter instead of Yee Sang.
