On Monday, 23rd March 2020 the Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort team participated in Accor’s Planet 21 environmental preservation campaign with a day out on Ao Sien beach, Krabi, helping the environment by planting mangroves.
As a corporate social responsibility initiative, the activity was aimed toward halting the destruction not only of the beautiful mangrove forests themselves but also in sustaining the natural habitat of all the animal life that lives there.
Other local hotels joined the resort’s team, signifying unity in protecting our world together for a better future.
Much appreciation goes to the Nopparat Thara National Park officers who supported the activity with 150 mangrove sprouts and provided information about marine and coastal resources and the benefits of the mangrove forest.
