Thai Vietjet launches Bangkok - Dalat_3At Lien Khuong International Airport (Lam Dong province, Vietnam), Thai Vietjet held its official inaugural flight ceremony for Bangkok–Dalat service, connecting Bangkok with Vietnam’s flower city Dalat, which is located on Lang Biang Plateau.

The new route is expected to meet increasing travel demand from both ends, and to further facilitate the regional trade and integration. Passengers onboard the inaugural flights also received local gifts with surprise from Thai Vietjet.

The Bangkok–Dalat route operates a return flight every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday with a flight time of approximately one hour and 45 minutes per leg. Flights depart Bangkok at 10:30 a.m. and arrive in Dalat at 12:15 p.m. Return flights take off at 12:55 p.m. in Dalat and land in Bangkok at 2:40 p.m.

Thai Vietjet launches Bangkok - Dalat_8On the debut flight, Thai Vietjet surprised all passengers with flower bikini fashion show and local gifts, which are themed with the beauty of Dalat. The flight was greeted with water salute and followed by a welcoming event at the airport.

With the additional service, Thai Vietjet has become the first airline to operate Bangkok–Dalat route, increasing the number of routes by Vietjet group from Vietnam to The Land of smiles to a total of six. Before that, Thai Vietjet had also a new aircraft emblazoned with the logo “Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018.” This was the second Thai Vietjet aircraft to feature the land of golden pagodas’ tourism and partially implement the cooperation framework between the carrier and Ministry of Tourism and Sports Thailand in promoting tourism. Besides, the carrier has received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) recertification, which is in line with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
