The Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is celebrating the 2017 festive season with culinary offers and entertainment.

Festive Afternoon Tea

Siam Kempinski Festive Afternoon TeaThe Festive Afternoon Tea set is the creation of Executive Pastry Chef Frank Braun, inspired by European winter recipes and features traditional sweet and savory items

Afternoon Tea includes Dresdner marzipan stollen; Christmas cookies and gingerbread; Monte Bianco with gluh wine pear; crunchy chocolate and cherry yule log and petite mince pies. Choices include jumbo blue crab sandwich with artichoke compote and avruga caviar and turkey and chestnut pot pie.

Besides coffee and tea, Hanuman Bar also offers Chandon sparkling wine and Louis Roederer French champagne for guests wishing to toast the festive season.

When: 2 p.m.–5 p.m. daily from December 1, 2017 to January 5, 2018

How much:

Dining in the Garden

Siam Kempinski_New Year 2_2017Guests will enjoy a New Year’s Eve international buffet with a BBQ grill and live cooking stations.

The menu includes an oyster and raw bar station offering five types of seasonal oysters as well as seafood ceviche and carpaccio – tuna, salmon, swordfish, sea urchins, king crab, mussels, baby octopus, queenie scallops, and smooth clams.

The European charcuterie and cheese board offers Pata Negra, Cecina, Parma ham and imported cheese.

Chefs at the BBQ grill will be cooking Australian lamb rack, Wagyu beef medallion, Atlantic lobster tails and river prawns. Others include whole roasted Italian porchetta, Dijon-crusted roast beef hind quarter and whole roasted sea bass in a salt crust.

This buffet also includes Thai food such as som tam gai yang; pad Thai; khao soi; tom yum lobster and tom kha gai.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the evening by a live jazz and swing band and all guests will countdown to midnight with a glass of complimentary Champagne.

Siam Kempinski_Turkey 2_2017Diners are invited to bid farewell to 2017 by a classic gastronomy journey featuring award-winning cuisine from Michelin-starred chef Henrik Yde Andersen.

This ten-course New Year’s Eve dinner includes tom yum prawn served with noodles, prawn cracker, and prawn cake; a trio of oysters; Maine lobster with frozen red curry; seared foie gras with ginger and plum sauce; mussels, tamarind carrots and Wagyu beef with krachai oyster sauce and corn flakes.

Sweeten this celebration with lime Thai basil and chef Henrik’s banana cake salted ice-cream.

The restaurant team will add to the countdown by serving a glass of complimentary Champagne to each guest.

When: Sunday, December 31, 2017, 6:30 p.m. till midnight

How much: THB 6,000++ per person for the ten-course dinner (food only) and a complimentary glass of Champagne to celebrate the countdown at midnight.

New Year’s Day

Brasserie Europa 

Siam Kempinski_Stollen_2017Start the New Year with family members, friends and loved ones at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

Brasserie Europa presents its New Year’s day feast in the form of an international buffet lunch. Include a foie gras station with a pan-fried terrine and crème brûlée.

The seafood counter includes smoked New Zealand mussels, snow crab, claws, king crabs, Maine lobster, and Fine de Claire oysters. The sushi and sashimi counter features rolls and maki with Norwegian salmon, tuna, and king fish.

The carving station will offer Australian prime ribs and whole roasted duck plus a variety of side dishes such as mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, broccoli tempura and fried rice.

This New Year feast concludes with desserts includes cherry crumble pie, New Year log cake, French New Year cake (La Galette des Rois), festive New Year cupcake, passionfruit mille-feuille, macaroons and home-made pralines, NY lollipops, caramel chocolate fountain with various condiments, freshly made crêpes, and pain Perdu with forest honey and lavender ice-cream.
