Auditions for Bangkok Community Theatre’s new creative project, BCT SHORTS 2021 – The Zoom Edition are about to be held. This is an online festival of one-act plays and BCT will be holding open auditions at 3pm on Sunday, March 7th 2021 for performers who want to take part in this project.
The plays range from three to 20 minutes in length, but rather than being performed in a theatre, as has been the case the past, this year they will be filmed on Zoom and streamed online on the BCT YouTube channel. The staging is minimal, the creativity is maximum, and the aim is to create a supportive environment for everyone involved. Timing will vary play by play but for the most part, rehearsals will take place in March and the filming and screening will happen at the end of the month or possibly early April if need be.
Essentially, BCT Shorts 2021 will be a great opportunity for anyone who wants to perform, including those who are new to performing, haven’t done it for a while or are just a bit nervous — as it is designed to give those people a fun way into acting with BCT!
Auditions:
Where: Bistro 33, Sukhumvit Soi 33, Sub Soi 5, Bangkok
When: Sunday, 7th March at 2:30 pm
Preparation: You will be asked to act from a script and probably do some improvisation or movement work. If this sounds daunting don’t worry! The atmosphere is very informal and everyone is very supportive and helpful.
