Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has, since its inception some ten years ago, strived to bring authentic European traditions to the capital of Thailand. Leaning on its long history of bringing beautiful performances to its guests, the Kempinski group has always placed talent on stage and furthered the passion for the performing arts.
This December, building on last year’s widely successful programme, the hotel brings back its Nutcracker ballet weekend festive afternoon tea buffet, served every weekend in its opulent lobby. With performances set to bring the Christmas spirit to all, professional ballet dancers perform parts of the famous ballet with the 7-metre-tall Christmas tree as the background. Served both Saturday and Sunday from 14:00 until 17:00 hrs, the weekend afternoon tea features a sumptuous buffet spread paired with delectable hot beverages.
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky created both the Nutcracker ballet and Swan Lake ballet. This year, to offer a new experience of performing arts, Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin will be featuring a special dinner every Saturday in December accompanied by segments of Swan Lake and Thai contemporary dance, paired with an eight-course culinary performance, a carefully selected wine pairing and a musical performance of violin and cello.
While ballet and culinary arts reflect the festive season, some of the younger guests might prefer a visit from the North Pole. Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok brings to Bangkok its Christmas family lunches filled with culinary treats for the whole family, plenty of activities and fun for the kids. But most importantly, Santa Claus will visit and award small surprises to all the kids in attendance. Served every Saturday in December in addition to 24 December at The Addition restaurant.
Thursday, 24 December will start with an annual Christmas concert in the lobby at 18:30 hrs, and guests will be invited to continue with either a sumptuous festive feast in ALATi with a beautiful buffet setting or a special eight-course innovative festive menu in Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin accompanied by a wine pairing. ALATi will be serving its famous Sunday Brunch throughout December, but on Friday, 25 December, a special Christmas Day Brunch with all the expected festive treats will also be featured with a ‘semi-buffet à la minute’ formula that allows guests to enjoy and sample an array of dishes served to the table or from the buffet.
New Year’s Eve this year will be celebrated in the grand lobby, with a beautiful countdown and afterparty. Prior to partaking in this countdown event, choose either Niche restaurant for a buffet option, Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin for a sumptuous ten-course dinner or ALATi for a tailored, individualised à la carte menu experience accompanied by live music.
