Elements restaurant at The Okura Prestige Bangkok has been awarded a Michelin Star for the fourth consecutive year, earning a place in the fourth edition of the MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2021 covering Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Phang-nga.
Elements has developed a reputation for serving finely prepared gourmet French cuisine with seasonal Japanese influences. The restaurant is helmed by chef de cuisine Hans Zahner, who oversees tasting menus that are refreshed regularly to take full advantage of premium seasonal ingredients from around the world.
Commenting on the award, Niek Hammer, general manager of The Okura Prestige Bangkok, said, “Maintaining a Michelin star, despite all the challenges faced this year, is a magnificent accolade for Elements. On behalf of Chef Hans and his team I would like to thank Michelin for recognising that standards at the restaurant remain world-class and that our commitment to quality and a great dining experience continues to be rewarded.”
One of only 27 Bangkok restaurants to receive a Michelin star in the new edition of the guide, Elements represents new generation lifestyle dining where East meets West with classic ease. The restaurant provides outstanding cuisine in a relaxed and informal atmosphere with the added attraction of an open kitchen that gives diners an up close and personal feel for the skills and expertise of chefs who create culinary theatre at the very heart of the restaurant.
“A Michelin star really reflects the dedication of both our culinary and service teams. We work so hard to find the finest ingredients each season from around the world to create one-of-a-kind dishes of a consistently high quality. Our aim is not only to deliver the best cuisine but also to make sure that each guest leaves with the highest satisfaction. Our front-of-house staff does a fantastic job each night to deliver the best service to our guests, whether the visit is to celebrate a special occasion or simply for a relaxed dinner.” said Chef Hans.
Executive Chef Sebastiaan Hoogewerf, added, “Earning praise from the Michelin Guide again this year is a wonderful accolade for Elements. It is a testament to the hard work of our kitchen team and front-of-house staff. I would like to thank all for their efforts and I congratulate them. We are going in the right direction with our culinary offerings at The Okura Prestige Bangkok and Elements is leading the way. 2021 promises to be an exciting year for gourmet dining.”
