Bangkok’s live jazz venue, The Living Room, will be hosting leading international and local musicians in an intimate lounge setting throughout April and May.
April 10–28, the four-piece local band The Soul Steppers fronted by the Vahn Thosri will light up The Living Room with their sparkling modern repertoire of jazz and soul.
Every Sunday and Monday in April, Milestones featuring Idris Dawud will delight the audience at The Living Room with their exceptional musicianship. Jazz singer, songwriter, and trumpeter Idris Dawud hails from Harlem, New York, and is regarded as one of the finest musicians on the Bangkok jazz scene today. A highlight on The Living Room’s calendar is the residency of Cynthia Scott from Arkansas, USA. Cynthia will perform with The Randy Cannon Group from May 15 to June 16. Discovered by the late great Ray Charles, she is loved by audiences from New York to Africa, Europe, and Asia by musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, and revered by jazz critics. She was inducted into Black Hall of Fame, an honor that marks a lifetime of outstanding achievements and dedication to jazz. Her appearance at The Living Room reinforces its reputation as Bangkok premier live jazz venue.
The Living Room is known for hosting some of the most respected musicians on the jazz scene today, including Grammy Award winners.
