Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Heshan Peiris as the new Executive Chef for Banyan Tree Bangkok’s 11 restaurants.
Chef Peiris was raised by culinary expert parents in Melbourne. His career started when he was an apprentice at Melbourne Racing Club whilst pursuing a degree in culinary arts at William Angliss Institute. Over the last 16 years, he has lived and worked internationally with Hilton hotels in Melbourne, Sydney, and Seychelles. Prior to joining Banyan Tree Bangkok, Chef Peiris worked in Laguna Lang Co in Vietnam.

Traveling around the world and experiencing different cooking styles, Chef Peiris focuses on bringing joy to his guests through food. He believes in bringing traditional food to new dimensions, modernizing the presentation while valuing original ingredients and keeping is the essence of each dish. His favorite cuisines are French, Vietnamese, and Thai.
