Picnics at the Solarium Oasis Lawn, situated on the hotel’s 10th floor adjacent to the swimming pool, can be organised any time of the day. Guests can opt for a sun-kissed picnic in the late afternoon with occasional dips to cool off in the 33 metre-long infinity pool, or have a romantic nibble beneath the stars with the backdrop of the sparkling city nightscape.
Alternatively, guests can order a basket-to-go, borrow a bicycle from the hotel, and enjoy the picnic spread under the shade of lush mature trees at the 142-acre Lumpini Park next to Sofitel So Bangkok.

The delectable Asian Picnic set comprises entries handpicked from the region’s most iconic cuisines, namely Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese. The basket of munchies include maki and nigiri sushi, fresh Vietnamese spring roll, chicken and beef satay with peanut sauce, selection of Thai sweet delicacies, seasonal fruit skewers, and iced bale fruit or lemongrass tea.
To delight a more western palate, the Italian Picnic offers an authentic taste of the Mediterranean. The spread includes a sumptuous selection of cold cuts and cheese, tomato and mozzarella salad, marinated grilled vegetables, mixed olives, pita bread with salami, sun-dried tomato, pesto, selection of Grissini, Foccacia, Ciabatta breads, TiramiSo, seasonal fruit skewers, and orange juice. Should guests wish to enjoy a bottle of wine with the picnic, the recommended beverage for the Italian Picnic is Prosecco Jeio Extra Dry, Pinot Grigio Santa Margherita or Peppoli Chianti Classico.
The delectable French Picnic basket features a degustation selection for picnickers to savor the flavors of France. The assortment of fine nibbles include cold cuts and cheese, Niçoise salad, freshly baked baguette with French butter, honey, and jam, quiche lorraine, opera cake, berry mille-feuille, fresh strawberries, a box of chocolate, and orange juice.
