Dr. Rajan Sankaran, one of the world’s topmost homeopathic doctors, will be in Bangkok on May 24-29, and will be available for consultations
Homeopathy, a holistic form of alternative and complimentary medicine, has been gaining popularity all around the world. This month, on May 24-29, one of the world’s topmost homeopathic doctors, Dr. Rajan Sankaran (MD Hom, FSHom), will be in Bangkok and will be available for consulations. Dr. Sankaran is an internationally renowned thinker, teacher, and writer of the homoeopathic system of medicine. Described as a clear and original thinker, he is best known for his pathbreaking concepts in homoeopathy.
“Homeopathic treatment intends to treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms, and works on the idea that the body and mind are so solidly connected that long-term treatment needs an understanding of the patient’s disposition and constitution,” says Dr. Sankaran in his Bangkok talks last year. “While modern medicine has made tremendous strides in the management of symptoms and organ pathology, alternative and complimentary medicine such as homoeopathy offers a holistic view and treatment of the patient. These two streams of medicine can complement each other, provided each one is fully aware of what the other has to offer.”
With more than 30 years of experience in practice and teaching, Dr. Sankaran has contributed to the evolution of the practice of homoeopathy while maintaining the foundational grounds. He shook the medical world with his first book, ‘The Spirit of Homoeopathy,” where he presented the concept that disease originates from a false perception of reality (delusion). This book had since been translated into 15 languages.
Then, he categorized the different perceptions of reality into plant, animal, and mineral types, in another book, ‘The Substance of Homeopathy.” Later he discovered that our experience can exist on one of seven levels, beginning with the name and facts of a phenomenon and culminating in its sensory and energy experience.
His book, ‘The Sensation in Homoeopathy,’ describes the process of case-taking by following the energetic lead of the patient to increasingly deeper levels of experience to uncover the underlying sensory one, which is the basis of the patient’s individuality and self- expression. This method has revolutionized the practice of homoeopathy and is considered cutting-edge in the field.
Dr. Sankaran and his colleagues soon realized the ideas that they use in their practice are not restricted to homoeopathy but are in fact universal in application. This led him to write his latest book, ‘The Other Song – Discovering Your Parallel Self,” where he shares his findings with the world outside of homoeopathy.
Dr.Sankaran lives and practices in the Juhu area of Mumbai, India, but his lucid style and simplicity has made him very popular as a teacher among homoeopaths worldwide. His seminars, workshops and teaching courses have been widely attended in India and abroad. Since 1986, he has been giving lectures in several countries, including Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, England, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, and U.S.A. Last year he gave a series of talks in Bangkok.
He counts among his students some of the wellknown teachers of homeopathy and heads of several homeopathic schools and colleges, and his books are included in the syllabii and recommended reading in several colleges and courses.
Along with his colleagues he founded The Homoeopathic Research and Charities, which is involved in various teaching courses. He has been awarded a Fellowship of the Society of Homeopaths (U.K.).
