krabi

· KRABI BECKONS

This huge adventure paradise is ready
to fulfill your needs for fun under the sun,
romp in the islands, thrills on the wild side,
peace and tranquility, and more….

Krabi. The very name conjures images of wonder, like a mystical frontier where adventure awaits in every corner, and where dreams can happen even to those who were not expecting them. And if you ask those who have been lucky to have been in this destination some 800km southeast of Bangkok, they’d say not far off from the real Krabi, really.

· HEALTH HUB CHIANG MAI

'Rose of The North' Meets the health care – including
spa -- needs of the regional, international community

With the current visitors in Chiang Mai still far from the desired tourist numbers, both the public and private sectors in this destination dubbed as “Rose of the North” have been launching several campaigns to remind travelers of its many varied attractions. Last month, a joint effort dubbed as “Chiang Mai International Health Promotion Meeting 2010 (CIHPM)” was launched under the joint auspices of both the private and public sectors.

With the theme “Experience Natural Balance with Lanna Culture,” the campaign hopes to solidify Chiang Mai’s claim as a medical and health hub, the “Health Care City," by showcasing the quality and standard of health services and facilities in the province as well as to promote healthrelated services such as spas, hospitals, massage centers, herbal production, and local food and nutrition. The two-day event,
held at The Empress Convention Center, was the third of what has become an annual event since its inception three years ago. Read more >>

Chef Hans Peter Eduard Aschwanden

· SIMPLE IS BEST!

For Amari Atrium executive chef Hans Peter
Eduard Aschwanden, simplicity is the key --
in flavor, ingredients, and all.

The test of the pudding is in the eating, so the saying goes. If a test is put at the Amari Atrium restaurants, those who have eaten at them will certainly agree – they are all sure to pass the test.

This is not surprising, once you meet the hotel’s executive chef, Hans Peter Eduard Aschwanden, who handles the hotel’s three in-house restaurants and two casual pubs. This 53-year-old chef, a native of Switzerland, pours his long experience and expertise from some of the best hotels and restaurants in the world into the topnotch culinary offerings that guests get to enjoy at the hotel – arguably some of the best meals you can enjoy in Bangkok.
