Elements welcomes a well-known member of the German ‘cooking elite’ in March as part of the restaurant’s monthly ‘Food is Art’ series. Wolfgang Becker is based in Trier, Germany’s oldest city, which sits within the Mosel wine region in the western part of Rhineland-Palatinate state close to the border with Luxembourg.
“Wolfgang’s gourmet restaurant Becker’s is well known for its high degree of creativity and quality and the owner has a reputation for presenting dishes that are always clear, authentic and honest. Wolfgang will prepare his own special set menu dinner (3 courses for 2,200 Baht or 5 courses for 4,200 Baht) at Elements on 6, 7 and 8 March with the first night taking the form of a Wine Dinner with matching wines from Le Roc des Anges domaine in Roussillon, southern France,” explains Thomas Jakobi, Culinary Director at The Okura Prestige Bangkok.
Becker’s has won an impressive list of awards and titles and enjoys coveted Michelin 2-star status – testimony to the outstanding quality presented consistently to the restaurant’s clientele in Trier.
“Wolfgang Becker is exporting his unique qualities to Thailand – but for three nights only,” adds Thomas Jakobi. “We are delighted to welcome such an important and influential chef for our ‘Food is Art’ event in March.”
Mr Becker is making his guest appearance at Elements, the home of ’modern logical cuisine’, in cooperation with Jan Ganser of Fin Wine and Theodoré the seafood specialists.
